About

Kendall Bennett is an accomplished Production Designer with two decades of experience creating visually striking and immersive environments for film and television. Known for his meticulous research and innovative approach to visual storytelling, Bennett has led the design of acclaimed television series such as The Chi for Showtime and Nashville for ABC. His feature film work includes Uncorked for Netflix, while previous roles as Art Director on Tell Me a Story (CBS All Access), Body of Proof (ABC), and Dexter (Showtime) further demonstrate his versatility and creative range.

Bennett’s design philosophy is rooted in immersive research and a passion for capturing the nuances of everyday life. “It’s part of my DNA today. I find inspiration everywhere. Every day. For me, it’s almost always grounded in human experiences of the mundane and familiar—from the visceral story a cold, sterile hospital waiting room tells to the age and secrets revealed in the layers of paint peeling off a dive bar restroom.” His ability to transform creative constraints into opportunities stems from his upbringing, where limited means fueled a resourceful and imaginative approach to art, travel, and architecture.

In addition to his work in film and television, Bennett gained recognition as an art direction consultant for the world-famous Magic Castle in Los Angeles, blending his design expertise with his passion for magic. A card-carrying magician member of The Academy of Magical Arts, he seamlessly fuses illusion and design to craft environments that captivate and transport audiences. Outside of production design, Bennett is also an accomplished pianist and a self-proclaimed typophile.

Originally from Nashville, TN, Bennett holds a degree in cinematography from Watkins College of Art & Design and is a graduate of the Los Angeles Film School.
